Last week, Martha Stewart sold her Turkey Hill Road South home in Westport and the New York Daily News said that she was "very depressed" about it. The 1805 farmhouse sits on 4 acres of property, and the original asking price was $9 million. She recently reduced the asking price to $4.5 million, but for only two acres of property with the house, instead of the 4 it has.
“I collect houses like other people collect paintings,” she said, according to the newspaper. “I finally did sell my (Westport house) last week. I was very depressed after I signed the contracts and had to go home and go to sleep.”
The listing for the home indicates that it has three bedrooms, two baths, 3,168-square feet and includes central air conditioning, a swimming pool, zoned temperature control, skylights, walk-in closets, a wet bar, a privacy fence, a barn, and a guest house.
Martha has lived in the home for more than 25 years.
