I was catching up on my Tivo'd Martha Stewart shows the other night, and caught an episode where she was talking about Amish Friendship Bread. Through a conversation with an audience member, Martha revealed she had never even heard of it, and was thoroughly confused by how the whole thing works.
In case you aren't in the know, Amish Friendship Bread is a recipe you make and pass along... sort of like a chain letter, only with baking.

I've made this before and it is so good! When I received the recipe from a co-worker it said to experiment with different flavors of pudding mix (Martha's calls for a pack of vanilla) and different mix-ins (in lieu of the one cup of nuts that she prescribes). I made some really good breads with lemon pudding mix and a cup of blueberries, and bananna pudding mix and a cup of mashed banannas. But my favorite was definitely vanilla pudding mix with a cup of dried cherries!
