For many years, my kids have celebrated New Year's Eve with a Noon Year's Eve celebration. The tradition started when we lived in Denver and would spend the noon-hour at the Children's Museum, watching their big ball drop after a countdown.
Martha has lots of great ideas for helping the kids ring in a new year, whether it's at midnight or noon.
We've enjoyed the bubble jump ...

... confetti balloons ....

... and this year we're borrowing a tradition from Spain and eating twelve grapes for good luck (although I'm going to skewer them in a glass of Sprite rather than serve only a cup of grapes).
